| Designated as a World Biosphere Reserve, this steep-sided, 20 mile wedge in the Niagra Escarpment was carved out by glacial ice. Its acres of shimmering apple blossoms in spring, picturesque farmlands and spectacular fall colours are a photographer's dream. Winter brings a blanket of pristine white snow for skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling. The Beaver Valley is known for its fine fishing, canoeing, cycling and bird watching. There are many unique shops and restaurants in Eugenia, Flesherton, Markdale and Kimberley for antiques, gifts and artwork. |
