One of the largest apple producing regions in Canada, Thornbury is located on Georgian Bay just north and west of Collingwood on the way to Meaford and Owen Sound. There is a great harbour in Thornbury and the fishing is superb. The Beaver River empties into Georgian Bay at Thornbury.
Thornbury is close to the ski hills and is home to the Town of the Blue Mountains Municipal offices. Some of the best restaurants in the Georgian Triangle are in the quiet little Town of Thornbury. |
